Attendants of the 74th annual Bald Knob Cross Easter Sunday sunrise service leave Sunday as the sun continues to rise. The white porcelain panes that covered the 111-foot cross have been removed because of damage and an effort is underway to raise money for restoration and improvement efforts to the Southern Illinois landmark.
