Authorities said two homeless men were quarreling over the snack Tuesday night on a downtown street near the city's convention center. A 42-year-old man was stabbed and later died at a hospital. His name has not been released.

Police on bike patrol chased down the 49-year-old suspect. He is jailed but formal charges have not been filed.
