Dana machine catches fire

A machine at Dana Corp. in Cape Girardeau caught fire Saturday night, but local firefighters put it out in just a short while.

Firefighters responded to the fire shortly past 7:30 p.m., said battallion commander Bob Kembel. Dana is on Corporate Circle off Southern Expressway.
Kembel said duct work connected to a piece of equipment caught fire. By 7:45 p.m., the fire was out, he said.
