CARBONDALE, Ill. -- On Nov. 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Memorial Hospital of Carbondale will sponsor a training event that would allow nearly 350 people to learn Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

CPR is an emergency first aid procedure to supply air to a person who has stopped breating and circulate blood for a person whose heart has stopped.

Training will be held at Carbondale Community High School's Bowen Gym, a few blocks west of the hospital. The cost for training is $5 per person.
