Correction/clarification 12/20/07

• In Wednesday's story on the city of Cape Girardeau's first-quarter budget figures, a graphic inaccurately referred to expected revenue figures as balances. The numbers, some of them negative, reflected the difference between expected and actual income between July and September. A negative $11,287.75 for the city's general fund was incorrectly attributed to the city's softball complex. The softball fund's first-quarter revenue was a positive $3,483.
• The phrase "in red" in the story's headline suggested a net loss for Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. Net figures for the airport's budget will be calculated at the end of the fiscal year, in June.
