SEATTLE -- A convicted murderer being granted a license to open a marijuana shop has prompted a double-take by state officials. The Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board selected Green Grotto LLC to open a marijuana store in Issaquah, Washington. The company is run by George Garrett, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for killing his wife and dumping her body in Hood Canal in 1993.
