Jackson Police Department and Fire Rescue will hold a community safety event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at City Park in Jackson.

According to an official Facebook post, the event is free and open to the public, and will feature the following:

  • Extrication demonstration.
  • Car seat education.
  • Touch-a-Truck.
  • Air evacuation, plus emergency vehicles.
  • Rope rescue demonstration.
  • Hands-on CPR
  • Water zone.

Face painting, a bounce house and a disc jockey will all be on hand to promote a family-fun atmosphere.

Food trucks from Smoke Shack BBQ, 1UP and Waves Mini Donuts will be on hand, according to an event flyer.

Of note

  • Parkview Street between Hubble Ford Bridge and Union Avenue will be closed for the duration.
  • Parking is set aside in the grass field off Parkview and Union Avenue.
