COBDEN MAN DIES IN HOUSE FIRE

COBDEN, Ill. -- A Union County resident died Monday as the result of a house fire.

Jerry Sanders, 48, of Cobden, was pronounced dead on arrival at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill. at 9:26 a.m. Monday.

He died as a result of smoke inhalation, the Union County coroner said.

The fire began sometime Monday morning. Officials have not determined the cause of the blaze.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden.
