St. Francis Medical Center will offer a seven-session self-management class for people with chronic health problems such as emphysema, heart disease, diabetes and arthritis.

The free classes will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on seven consecutive Thursdays starting April 20 in the St. Francis Health and Education Center.

The classes are sponsored by the Bootheel Extension Health Education Project.

Although the classes are free, preregistration is required. To register, call Lois Schade at 339-6276.
