The Cape Girardeau City Council Wednesday approved an interim liability agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration over the operation of the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport tower.
The noon meeting at City Hall lasted only a few minutes.
The council action comes as the city prepares to fund the operation of the air traffic control tower beginning Monday. The FAA announced in late November that it wouldn't fund the tower in 1996.
