SIKESTON, Mo. -- A robbery at a local check-cashing business is under investigation by the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, the Standard Democrat reported. About 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a panic alarm at the Check Into Cash store at 1305 S. Main St. When officers arrived, they spoke with an employee who said a man entered the store and demanded cash, according to a news release from Capt. Jim McMillen, Sikeston Department of Public Safety public information officer.
