Shonna Tropf of Chaffee spent the summer planning recreational activities for children of U.S. military people
Tropf spent the summer in Sasebo, Japan, as a counselor for Camp Adventure, which is sponsored by the University of Northern Iowa and serves all branches of the military. More than 7,000 participated.
A student at Southeast Missouri State University, Tropf earned academic credit for participating in the program.
