CASH STOLEN FROM DOLLAR GENERAL STORE

Cash was stolen from a Dollar General Store on Broadway Saturday morning during a robbery, Cape Girardeau police said. About 10:15 a.m., a man brought items to the cashier to purchase, and during the purchase attempted to grab money from the open cash register, police said. The cashier attempted to remove the man's hand from the register, and was threatened. The man was able to steal an undetermined amount of cash.
