Published Aug. 19, 1976. The new 4,200-seat capacity gymnasium on the Central High School campus will be closely watched by students as it goes up this year. It is the only new construction in the school system and should be out of the ground by early November. Drury Construction Co., the general contractor, expects the building to be under roof by mid-March, 1977. Completion is planned for August, 1977. Excavation is continuing under ideal conditions at the site.
