A 10-by-30-foot mural graced the west wall of the Central High School gymnasium due to the support of the Central High classes of 1946 and 1984. Leon Heise of General Sign Co. finished the job just in time for the baccalaureate ceremony in the new gymnasium. The mural required about 26 hours of painting. Pig squeals filled the air at the Jackson City Park as these 3-year-old youngsters participated in the greased-pig contest at the Jackson Jaycees' Fourth of July Celebration.
