Notre Dame High School students participated in a program sponsored by Students Against Driving Drunk demonstrating that 14 teenagers were killed daily in the United States from alcohol-related accidents. Students on the floor had their faces painted white and tombstones at their feet to symbolically portray youth killed by drunk drivers. (Mark Sterkel ~ Southeast Missourian archive photo)
