The Greyhound bus driver found that he had to park on Morgan Oak Street to pick up passengers Wednesday from Don's Store 24, 341 S. Sprigg, the local bus depot. Other parked vehicles had blocked a closer spot for the bus. (Fred Lynch ~ Southeast Missourian archive)

Cape Girardeau Parks Department employees John Woodall and John Bailey approach a duck at Capaha Park Lagoon Thursday that had resisted their attempts to catch it to remove a plastic, six-pack beverage holder from its head.
