Published Oct. 5, 1980. Area politicians turned out in force Saturday morning for the Missouri Citizens for Life's "Walk for Life" in Capaha Park. About 250 pro-life members from the Southeast Missouri area held the rally to hear political candidates speak on anti-abortion policies. The group then walked through the city to show their support of anti-abortion policies. In the picture, state and regional politicians lead the walk out of the park. Congressman Bill D. Burlison, D-10th District; Governor Joseph P. Teasdale and Norman Robert, chairman of the Cape County Democratic Central Committee, lead other politicians Frank X. Hastings, State Rep.
