Area politicians turned out in force Saturday morning for the Missouri Citizens for Life's "Walk for Life" in Capaha Park. About 250 pro-life members from the Southeast Missouri area held the rally to hear political candidates speak on anti-abortion policies. The group then walked through the city to show their support of anti-abortion policies. In the picture, state and regional politicians lead the walk out of the park. Congressman Bill D. Burlison, D-10th District; Governor Joseph P. Teasdale and Norman Robert, chairman of the Cape County Democratic Central Committee, lead other politicians Frank X. Hastings, State Rep. Associate Circuit Judge Benjamin F. Lewis of Cape Girardeau was honored as Executive of the Year by the Girardot Chapter of Professional Secretaries International.
