Published July 9, 1982. The $25,000 fund drive for the first phase of the Cape Girardeau Riverfront Park project cleared the half-way point today with a $1,000 contribution from Holiday Inn here. Once the $25,000 goal is reached, the City of Cape Girardeau will contribute a matching amount to pay for the first phase of the three-part riverfront development.
