Published July 13, 1967. Representatives of food establishments and oil and gasoline outlets were dinner guests of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce's publicity committee. Chamber officials stressed the importance of greeting visitors to the city by courteous treatment and supplying information about the community. Looking over informational material about the city, were, from the left seated, Mrs. Mabel Bailey, restaurant operator; Mrs. Joe Brown, Mrs. Edwin Dambach and Sharon Wengert, restaurant hostesses. Published May 20, 1970. It was spring outing and picnic time for the fifth grade of the Illmo-Scott City elementary school. They came to Capaha Park for a good time, and the boys found the fishing good, although the catching was something else again. (Southeast Missourian archive)
