CAPE SCHOOL BOARD MEETS TONIGHT

The Cape Girardeau Board of Education will meet tonight for its regular monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m.

The board will meet in the conference room at 61 N. Clark.

Prior to the regular meeting, a tax rate hearing will be held, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The school district's tax rate will remain the same as last year, at $2.83.

Also on the agenda is a presentation by Dr. Marlene Miller on the new Reading Recovery, a new reading program that will begin this fall in Cape Girardeau schools.
