A Cape Girardeau man sustained serious injuries Tuesday night when his car overturned about 50 feet north of Cape Girardeau city limits, said the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Mark Bean, 33, was reportedly driving south on County Road 613 when he ran off the roadway, struck a ditch, and his car overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its top.

The patrol recorded the accident at approximately 7:35 p.m.
Bean was transported to Southeast Missouri Hospital by ambulance.
