Police arrested a Cape Girardeau man after a robbery on South Sprigg Street early Thanksgiving Day.
David Dwight Evans, 43, is being held at the Cape Girardeau City Jail on a $75,000 bond. He was charged with second-degree robbery.
According to the probable-cause statement, Evans hit the the store clerk at Rhodes 101 and took $739.98 from the cash register at around 5:45 a.m. Police arrested Evans in the 500 block of Frederick Street at about 6:40 a.m.
