  • The library is closed Sunday for the Easter holiday.
  • Author programs: 7 p.m. in the library's Hirsch Community Room. April 19 -- Local prosecuting attorney and author Morley Swingle will sign copies of "Scoundrels to the Hoosegow: Perry Mason Moments and Entertaining Cases from the Files of a Prosecuting Attorney." Profits from book sales will benefit special library projects supported by the Friends Foundation. April 24 -- Rose Marie Kinder will offer a program of book readings. She was raised in Stoddard County and studied in Tucson, Ariz., where influences from her books originate. "A Near Perfect Gift" has more influences of Missouri.
