A home at 2026 Andrew Street in Cape Girardeau was engulfed by fire Monday, July 3. According to a neighbor with security camera video footage, the fire began at about 9:30 p.m. It reportedly started with unspent fireworks left in the garage. The family and two of their dogs escaped the home unharmed. Another dog reportedly perished.
