A trace of snow was recorded Thursday at the National Weather Service observation station at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport, according to the Paducah, Ky., weather service office website.
The trace marks the first snow since last winter in Cape Girardeau. Thursday's recorded low temperature was 30 degrees.
On Thursday the weather service issued its winter outlook, predicting above normal temperatures in Missouri and other parts of the Southeast and Midwest.
