Dr. Ed Masters of Regional Primary Care in Cape Girardeau spoke at this month's national scientific workshop sponsored by the National Institute of Health.
A summary of the meeting will be published in the Journal of the American Medical Association later this year.
Masters, an expert on Lyme disease, spoke about "Emerging Bacterial Zoonoses and Vector-Borne Diseases."
He also lectured at the VIII International Conference on Spirochetal and Tick-Borne Diseases in Vancouver, B.C.
