Public hearings

• Had a public hearing regarding proposed amendments to the Subdivision Regulations and Stormwater Management Regulations to request copies of record plats and as-built drawings for subdivision improvements in digital exchange format, and to include stormwater management plans with as-built drawings, as well as certifications on construction.

Appearances

• Made introduction with Catherine Dunlap, executive director of Old Town Cape.

Consent ordinances

(Second and third readings)

• Approved an ordinance granting a special-use permit to Solar Pools Inc. and AmerenUE for purposes of constructing, maintaining and operating an electrical distribution substation at the northwest corner of Independence and Ellis streets.
• Approved an ordinance granting a special-use permit to P & J Marketing LLC and Jeffrey J. Maurer for purposes of constructing, maintaining and operating gasoline pumps in the 1100 block of North Sprigg Street.
• Approved an ordinance authorizing the mayor to execute a special warranty deed for disposal of excess property pursuant to a property acquisition agreement for the South Sprigg Street elevation project.
• Approved an ordinance approving the record plat of Randol Farms First Addition Amended.
• Approved an ordinance amending Section 11-52(b) of the city code relating to hours of sale and use of fireworks.

• Approved an ordinance authorizing the city manager to execute an agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission for work at the I-55/AB interchange.
• Approved an ordinance authorizing the city manager to execute a supplemental municipal agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission for storm sewer drainage along Missouri Route 74.
• Approved an ordinance amending Schedule F of Section 26-247 of the city code, repealing certain no parking on Village Drive and establishing new no parking on Village Drive.
• Approved an ordinance amending Chapter 29 of the city code relating to application for water and sewer service.

• Approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a license and indemnity agreement with Brian and Terri Brown for placing certain improvements on Stoddard Street right of way.

• Appointed Hugh White to the Public Awareness Advisory Board.
• Appointed Melvin Gateley and Frank Stoffregen to the Cape Girardeau Area Industrial Recruitment Association Board of Directors.
• Appointed Richard Fehr to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
• Appointed Charles "Bud" Leming to the Show Me Center Board of Managers.
• Appointed Ruth Knote to the River Campus Board of Managers.

Liquor Licenses

• Approved a retail liquor-by-the-drink license for Robert Lagore, Willy's Beach Club, 1 N. Main St., Robert Lagore, managing officer.

Other

• Approved a motion rejecting the bids received for the Cape Woods Conservation Area improvements.
