Consent ordinances

(Second and third readings)

• Approved an ordinance amending Chapter 19 of the city code relating to employee political activities.
• Approved an ordinance for a quit claim deed for excess land from the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for right of way for the Cape La Croix Creek/Walker Branch Flood Control Project.
• Approved an ordinance amending Chapter 25 of the city code relating to subdivision regulations
• Approved an ordinance amending Chapter 23 of the city code relating to storm water management regulations.
• Approved an ordinance authorizing the city manager to execute a Radio and TV Broadcasting Studio Cooperation Agreement with Cape Girardeau School District.

New ordinances

• Approved an ordinance amending Schedule Q of Section 26-258 of the City Code repealing certain no parking at the airport and establishing new parking there.
• Approved an ordinance levying a special assessment for Walnut Street from Kingshighway to Commercial Street and authorizing issuance of special tax bills.

Resolutions

• Approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute an agreement with Nip Kelley Equipment Co. for the Cape Meadows storm sewer project.
• Approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a release of lien for the Community Block Grant Program.
• Approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute an application and all other necessary grant documents to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for the Cape La Croix Creek channel repair and erosion control program.
• Approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute an agricultural lease with H and B Farms at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.
• Withdrew a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a lease agreement with Drury Southwest Signs at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.
• Approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to make an agreement with Loana Contractors for the South Ramsey Gravity Sewer Project.

Appointments

• Appointed Larry Dowdy to a full term on the Board of Adjustment and Jess Hopple as an alternate to the board.
• Appointed Leonard Jansen to the Board of Examiners.
• Appointed Tim Blattner, David Ross, Joel Neikirk and John Peter Wyman to the Convention and Visitors Advisory Board.
• Appointed Tom Neumeyer to the Parks Development Foundation.
