  • Held a public hearing regarding the establishment of a Chapter 353 redevelopment project for the property at 2102 and 2118 William St. in Cape Girardeau.
  • Held a public hearing regarding the request of DLJ Cape to rezone a portion of an existing lot in the 200 Block of Mount Auburn Road, on the east side, between William Street and Blattner Drive, from C-4 planned commercial district to C-2 general commercial district.
  • Held a public hearing regarding the request of JJP Investments LLC for a special-use permit to construct a commercial parking lot on an existing vacant lot on the south side of Kingsway Drive, between Melrose Avenue and Kurre Lane, in an R-1, single-family residential district.

Consent ordinances

  • Authorized the mayor to execute a quitclaim deed to Trifecta Development LC for real property located in the city.

  • Authorized the city manager to execute an agreement with Alliance Water Resource Systems Inc. for operation of the city's water system.
  • Authorized the city manager to execute a contract with Koehler Engineering and Land Surveying Inc. for the Cape Girardeau River Walk Phase III Project.
  • Authorized the city manager to execute an extended warranty agreement with Synergy Broadcast Systems for Channel 5 equipment.
  • Authorized an application to the Missouri Secretary of State for local records preservation grants and authorizing the city manager to execute all necessary grant documents.

  • Appointed Robert Harris Jr. to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

Liquor license

  • Approved a temporary 5 percent beer by the drink liquor license for David J. Roth, Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, for an event to be held at the A.C. Brase Arena Building April 21.

Other

  • Accepted the sanitary sewer improvements to serve Golden Eagle Subdivision in Sewer District 14-1-F-1.
  • Approved the improvement plans for the Meadows of Whispering Oaks Subdivision known as E Sewer.
