Health insurance benefits for Cape Girardeau city employees will be managed by a St. Louis firm.
The city council on Monday voted to hire CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Services Inc. during a special meeting at city hall.
City staff members had recommended the firm from among three companies that submitted proposals.
The city will pay $30,000 a year for the service, which officials said is less than what was paid annually to an insurance firm.
