COBDEN, Ill. -- A 47-year-old man was arrested after law enforcement officers caught him trying to harvest a crop of marijuana worth over $700,000, the Illinois State Police said.
William Randall Runion, of Carbondale, Ill., was arrested on his father's property Sunday in Cobden.
Police seized 487 cannabis plants, worth an estimated $600,000.
During an aerial search of the property, another 113 plants were discovered, worth $114,000.
