CAIRO, Ill. -- The City Wheel Tax has been eliminated in Cairo.
Mayor James Wilson announced that city stickers no longer are needed for vehicles. In previous years, the stickers were required for cars, trucks and motorcycles.
"This is not a big tax break," said Wilson, "but we felt it would be a little break for the people of Cairo."
