ST. LOUIS -- A St. Louis school bus driver was injured Friday when he was hit by flying glass after someone shot a pellet, shattering his driver's-side window.

There were no children on the bus at the time; they already had been dropped off at Euclid Elementary School for the last day of summer school.

The name of the driver was not released. He was taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital for treatment of facial cuts.

School officials weren't sure where the pellet came from or what type of pellet it was.
