Broadway project to cause traffic detour

Broadway to have detour today

Broadway from Pacific Street to Henderson Avenue will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to noon today to allow for construction work on the Broadway widening project.

Detour signs will be posted and motorists will be encouraged to use alternate routes, said acting city engineer Abdul Alkadry.

Customers will be able to reach businesses along the affected area of Broadway via surrounding streets, officials said.
