The two belong to the Velo Girardeau Bicycle Club and have an hourlong ride for beginners every Wednesday at 6 p.m. Leible said that at the beginning of their ride, the temperature was over 100 degrees. An excessive heat advisory was in effect until 11 p.m. Wednesday. High temperatures are forecast to be 96 today and 92 on Friday before returning to the upper 90s on Sunday.
