Cape Girardeau County Public Water District No. 2 has issued a precautionary boil-water order for Oak Creek subdivision near Jackson effective today and continuing until further notice.
The water will be turned off for three to four hours, according to a news release from the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center. While the order is in effect, residents should boil water intended for any type of consumption for at least three minutes.
