A body found on a Southern Illinois interstate is that of a pedestrian, the Illinois State Police said on Friday afternoon.
Police responded to a call at 3:08 a.m. of a pedestrian who had been struck on Interstate 57 near mile markers 37 and 38. Police did not identify the pedestrian Friday afternoon.
