CAIRO, Ill. -- The Alexander County Board of Commissioners has delayed a resolution to ban strip-tease and/or topless dancing in Alexander County until the March meeting.

"This will give us an opportunity to check with all the statutes and prepare wording for the resolution," said county commissioner Louis Maze.
The next regular meeting of the commissioners will be March 8, at the Alexander County courthouse in Cairo.
