A U.S. Departments of Labor and Health and Human Services bill approved by the House and Senate Thursday contains $4.5 million for research and health projects across Missouri. Included is $250,000 for Cross Trails Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. The funds will be used to construct a larger building to allow for expansion of dental, geriatric, pharmaceutical and mental health services. The next step will be for the president to sign the bill.
