BERNIE, Mo. -- A Bernie man was killed late Thursday night when his truck was hit by a train one mile south of Bernie. Kevin G. Hunt, 33, of Bernie was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday night by Stoddard County Coroner Morgan Sifford. Kevin G. Hunt, 33, of Bernie was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday night by Stoddard County Coroner Morgan Sifford. Hunt was killed when the truck he was driving stopped on railroad tracks on County Road 784. The crossing was equipped with flashing signals, bells and a cross arm.
