Barry Hovis secures Republican nomination for District 146 House of Representatives
Barry Hovis wins the Republican nomination for District 146 House seat, defeating Lucas Green. Hovis, who has represented Cape Girardeau County since 2018, secured 4,554 votes to Green's 3,890.
District 146 Rep. Barry Hovis won the Republican nomination for District 146 Representative seat over Lucas Green in the Tuesday, Aug. 6 primary election.

Hovis of Whitewater took his spot as Rep. in 2018 after winning against Democrat Gayla Dace. District 146 encompasses Cape Girardeau County and Hovis won with 4,554 votes with Green getting 3,890 votes.
Hovis if elected in November will start another two-year term.
