Attempted robbery foiled by scream

An attempted robbery was reported early Wednesday morning outside a Cape Girardeau restaurant. Police responded to Brenda's Place, 602 Morgan Oak St., at 4:13 a.m., according to police spokesman Jason Selzer. The owner of the restaurant was entering the side door when a man came up behind her and demanded money.
