As deadline looms, one person files for Oran aldermen

One person had filed for the Oran Board of Aldermen as of Monday morning.

Incumbent Ward 3 alderwoman Brenda Cook filed for re-election to her seat late last week, after a Southeast Missourian had checked with the city clerk to see who had filed for office.

Monday morning Cook was the only person who had filed so far, according to the city clerk. The deadline to file for city office is 5 p.m. Jan. 20.
