John Buehler hauls in a rainbow trout from Rotary Lake in Jackson on a chilly Tuesday. It was Buehler's first time fishing there for catch-and-release, as he usually joins dozens of anglers on the first day when trout can be harvested Feb. 1. About 1,900 trout were stocked in the lake by the Missouri Department of Conservation during the fall. Even colder weather is expected in the next few days. See story on 3A...
