83-year-old man suspected in shooting

DONIPHAN, Mo. -- A shooting Monday at 107 W. Summit St. in Doniphan is being investigated by Doniphan Police.

"I can confirm there was a shooting, the victim is in the hospital and the suspect is in custody," said Sgt. Joe Joiner.

Ripley County Prosecuting Attorney Christopher Miller, who was reviewing the police report Tuesday morning, identified the victim as Jerry Lee Wilson, 31, of Doniphan.

"The suspect is Louis E. Campbell, 83, of Doniphan," Miller said.
