Kelly Goff, director of the Humane Society, left, leads a discussion about the book “A Dog’s Purpose” by W. Bruce Cameron, on Tuesday at the Cape Girardeau Public Library, 711 N. Clark St., as part of the United we Read program, which encourages people to read the same book. This is the 13th year of the program.
