The Optimist Club of Jackson recently held its fishing rodeo at the Jackson City Park lake.
There were 38 entries from kindergarten to sixth grade. The group caught 145 fish from 2 inches to the winning fish of 7 inches.
There were six winners who received a fishing vest, and all participants received a fishing lure.
The Optimist Club served hot dogs, chips and soda to the fishermen and their parents. Chairman for the event was Chris Hutson.
