ANDERSON, Mo. (AP) -- A 19-year-old man drowned while swimming in a lake in southwest Missouri, the Missouri State Water Patrol said. ANDERSON, Mo. (AP) -- A 19-year-old man drowned while swimming in a lake in southwest Missouri, the Missouri State Water Patrol said.

Carlos Alejo-Chavez of Anderson, died Friday afternoon while swimming in Indian Creek Lake, the patrol said.

The patrol said a witness heard Alejo-Chavez scream and went to help, but could not locate the victim. His body was later recovered in about three feet of water, the patrol said.
