Zachary Crowder, 3, and his grandmother, Lola Crowder, right, of Perryville, Mo., started their trek along the 100-Mile Yard Sale on Highway 25 at a six-vendor site in Jackson with their friend, Wanda Stark of Steeleville, Ill., Thursday afternoon. Their plans were not specific: They would buy what they liked, eat along the way and return home when they got tired. The sale stretches from Jackson to Kennett, Mo., and continues through Memorial Day.
